Ray's Aviary is owned and operated by Kenneth Ray. I began my love of birds as a teenager and have studied and raised birds for 20 plus years. I have worked with a variety of birds ranging from budgies to cockatoos. I am now specializing in Neophema mutations, more commonly called Grass Parakeets. Originally from Columbia Maryland I now reside with my family in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina.


The scarlet chested parakeet is easily known as one of the most beautiful grass parakeets. The ideal aviary bird with stunning coloration. It is quiet,and has a friendly nature. They are appealing to the eye and easy to care for.	Pair of Scarlets
Male Rosey Bourke	The rosey bourke is easily the most popular grass parakeet. It is great for beginners being a hardy parakeet that is easy to breed. The soft pastel colors of the bourke are always a pleasure to look at.
The Scarlet Chested Parakeet is a genetically diverse bird with many mutations one being the Blue mutation. The Blue with it's snow white chest and brilliant blue back and wing is stunningly different when compared to the Normal coloration.	White Fronted Blue Scarlet Chested Parakeet - Male
